3 New (& Coming Soon) Cobb County Restaurants [June 22, 2026]

Honey’s Po’boys and Gumbo — Marietta

Address: 2667 Powder Springs Rd SW Ste 102, Marietta, GA 30064

Status: Targeting an August opening, depending on construction progress, permitting and inspections.

What to expect: Louisiana-inspired restaurant from siblings Angela Randolph and Lionel Thomas, who are moving into a brick-and-mortar space after more than 20 years in catering. The restaurant will focus mostly on takeout, with about 10 to 12 seats available for dine-in guests.

Menu highlights: Louisiana po’boys, gumbo, other Louisiana-style dishes and New Orleans-style snowballs. The team purchased a traditional ice shaver in New Orleans for the snowball program.

Family story: The concept honors Randolph and Thomas’ late mother, whose nickname was Honey and who dreamed of opening a restaurant. Their uncle, 82-year-old Isaiah Thomas, is also helping with construction as the family works to get the space ready.

More to know: The owners plan to continue their catering and concessions business, which includes work with Georgia World Congress Center, Georgia International Convention Center and Gateway Center Arena.

Hours: Proposed daily hours are 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.–10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with possible adjustments based on customer traffic.

Bayou Brew Coffee Co — Powder Springs

Address: 2830 Macedonia Rd Suite C, Powder Springs, GA 30127

Status: Targeting an August opening, depending on permitting and construction progress.

What to expect: Louisiana-inspired coffee shop with a warm, boutique feel and a community-centered approach. Owner Jonie Paden wants the café to be a place where guests can gather, work, meet friends or slow down for a moment.

Menu highlights: Specialty coffee sourced through a New Orleans roaster, praline-flavored coffee, hot chocolate inspired by Café Du Monde, specialty white hot chocolate, fresh beignets, boudin balls and other light bites.

Seasonal items: During warmer months, Bayou Brew Coffee Co plans to serve Louisiana-style snow cones.

Space details: The shop occupies about 1,400 square feet and will operate as a casual counter-service coffeehouse.

Hours: Planned Monday through Saturday; closed Sunday. Exact daily hours are still to be announced.

Who’s behind it: Owner Jonie Paden, a mother of three and corporate HR executive who is building the business around her Louisiana upbringing and hospitality.

Antika — Marietta

Address: 34 Powder Springs St SW, Marietta, GA 30064

Status: Now open!

What to expect: Woman-owned small plates restaurant near Marietta Square with Mediterranean-inspired fusion dishes, craft cocktails and wine. The restaurant is opening next door to Kiosko, which is also connected to partner Busrag Ozanlimen.

Menu highlights: Small plates influenced by Mediterranean countries including Spain, Italy and Greece. The menu is not tied to one specific cuisine, instead bringing together a mix of regional flavors.

Space details: Antika will have about 35 to 40 indoor seats, but the patio is expected to be a major part of the experience. The patio includes a city-painted mural and a historic magnolia tree.

Entertainment: Live music is planned for the patio.

Hours: Planned weekday opening at 4 p.m. Brunch is planned for Saturday and Sunday.
