This Louisiana-Inspired Cafe is Coming to Powder Springs
The Louisiana-inspired café will serve beignets, praline coffee, and specialty drinks.
POWDER SPRINGS, GA – Bayou Brew Coffee Co, a Louisiana-inspired coffee shop from owner Jonie Paden, is targeting an August opening at 2830 Macedonia Rd Suite C, Powder Springs, GA 30127.
Paden described Bayou Brew Coffee Co as a community-centered cafe rooted in her Louisiana upbringing. The concept focuses on connection, comfort and culture, Paden shared with Business Debut in a phone interview. She said she wants guests to experience a space where they can gather, slow down, work, meet friends and enjoy a moment for themselves.
Paden, a mother of three and a corporate HR executive, also intends for the business to be something her children can watch develop and possibly join in the future.

What to Expect
The shop occupies about 1,400 square feet. Expect a casual counter-service coffeehouse with a warm, boutique feel.
Every element of the design and branding draws from the culture and hospitality Paden experienced growing up in Louisiana.
Menu and Vision
Paden is working with a roaster in New Orleans to source specialty coffee for the shop, she said. The menu will feature Louisiana-inspired drinks, including praline-flavored coffee and specialty espresso drinks and cold brews.
Bayou Brew Coffee Co will serve hot chocolate modeled after the Cafe Du Monde, along with a specialty white hot chocolate, she said. Fresh beignets will be a core offering.
Additional food options will include boudin balls and other light bites, Paden told Business Debut. During warmer months, the shop plans to offer Louisiana-style snow cones.
Paden said she wants guests to feel like they are getting a taste of Louisiana when they stop by.
Opening Timeline
The space is in the early stages of build-out and preparation, according to Paden. She is targeting an August opening, dependent on permitting and construction progress.
Hours
Bayou Brew Coffee Co plans to open Monday through Saturday, Paden told Business Debut. The shop plans to close on Sundays.
