I may not be a sommelier, but I know good wine when I have it. And authorities like Wine Spectator can direct us to the local places with the best wine.

They recently announced this year's awards and 4 Cobb County restaurants made the cut.

Asher & Rose Grocers

You remember Piastra on the Marietta Square, right? Well the owners made a change. Now, you'll find Asher & Rose Grocers, a speciality market and bar aimed at offering goods, lite bites, a cafe and a bar.

They've been recognized by Wine Spectator since 2018.

Mac’s Chophouse

Find them at: 19 N Park Square, Marietta, GA 30060, also on the Marietta Square.

The restaurant describes itself as a modern revival of the classic American steakhouse, with USDA Prime steak, seafood, desserts, craft cocktails, premium reserve wines and an extensive bourbon selection.

Mac’s occupies a restored historic building overlooking Marietta Square. It's owners have been busy across the street too with the somewhat recent debut of Gianni & Mac's across the street.

They've been recognized by Wine Spectator since 2022.
