Hall’s On 5th Food Hall Opening Soon In Apopka

Hall’s On 5th food hall is gearing up to open toward the end of the first quarter of 2025, co-owner Ella Duke told Business Debut. Located at 15 E 5th St, Apopka, FL 32703, the new food hall will bring seven vendors, a full craft cocktail bar, and flexible indoor and outdoor seating to the heart of Apopka.

Thriving Hospitality, an Orlando-based group known for popular concepts like Lamp & Shade and Thrive, will anchor the food hall with two stalls: one replicating Thrive’s downtown Orlando menu and the other focusing on sushi and bao dishes. The remaining vendors are nearly finalized, with one confirmed as a smash burger and fries concept.

The food hall will feature seating for 150 guests, including an outdoor patio, a private dining area, and a bar with indoor and outdoor service. Additionally, Hall’s On 5th will house a commissary kitchen in the back, offering fully equipped rental space for small businesses and food trucks.

Orlando Location of Tikka Bowls and Tacos Nearing Opening

Tikka Bowls and Tacos is gearing up to bring its fusion of Indian and Mexican cuisine to downtown Orlando this January, pending the finalization of a few permits, franchisee Bhavin Patel shared with Business Debut. Find the upcoming location at 255 S Orange Ave, Orlando, FL 32801.

Street Feast Food Truck Park to Bring Dining and Entertainment to Kissimmee

A new food truck park concept, Street Feast, is in the works for Kissimmee, owner Aamir Waheed shared with Business Debut. Planned for a 5.5-acre tract of land near the 7/11 convenience store at 2600 S Poinciana Blvd, Kissimmee, FL 34758, the park aims to create an expansive eatertainment destination with a late 2025 opening timeline.

Street Feast will feature space for 40 food trucks, each equipped with electricity and water connections. The park will include 700 seats under covered areas, ensuring a comfortable dining experience in any weather. Plans also call for a bar, arcade, playgrounds, splash park, and rentable cabanas complete with private bathrooms and TVs—perfect for hosting birthdays or family gatherings. Waheed is even exploring the addition of a robotic bartender, similar to those featured on Royal Caribbean Cruises.

With 250 parking spaces and planned kiosks showcasing the menus of its vendors, Street Feast promises to be a premier dining and entertainment hub for Kissimmee. Stay tuned for updates on this exciting development set to debut next year.


Jumpen Caribbean Restaurant Opening in Kissimmee

Jumpen Caribbean Restaurant is bringing authentic Caribbean flavors to Kissimmee in just two weeks, owners Calvia and Kenneth Edwards told Business Debut. This marks the couple’s first venture into the restaurant industry, offering both dine-in and takeout options.

Located at 4467 W Vine St, Kissimmee, FL 34746, Jumpen Caribbean will serve a menu packed with classic Caribbean dishes. Guests can look forward to options like peri goat, oxtail, brown stew chicken, roti, and much more.

VOLUSIA COUNTY

Beachin' Burritos Moving to Brick-and-Mortar in New Smyrna Beach

Beachin' Burritos, known for its green chile-infused Mexican cuisine, is transitioning from a food trailer to its first brick-and-mortar location in New Smyrna Beach, owner Vincent Siravo told Business Debut. Originally from Colorado, Siravo brings the Southwestern tradition of smothering burritos with pork green chile stew to Florida, sourcing their chiles directly from a farmer in Hatch, New Mexico, for authenticity.

The new location, at 218 N Orange St, New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168, is set to open in the first week of February if all goes according to plan.

Urban Soul Daiquiris and Wingz Opening Soon in Daytona Beach

Urban Soul Daiquiris and Wingz, a New Orleans-inspired restaurant, is set to open in Daytona Beach, offering daiquiris, whole chicken wings, fried catfish, po’boys, jambalaya, beignets, and more, owner Steve Brock shared with Business Debut. Brock is aiming for an opening by the end of the year, though the timeline is subject to change.

The full-service restaurant will feature 134 seats across indoor and outdoor spaces and include a full liquor bar. Guests can look forward to enjoying a taste of New Orleans in a lively setting, with hours running 7 days a week:

  • 11 am - midnight (Sunday through Thursday)
  • 11 am - 2 am (Friday and Saturday)

POLK COUNTY

The Thirsty Dragon Bringing European Tavern Charm to Lake Wales

The Thirsty Dragon, a European tavern-inspired restaurant, is planning to open mid-January in Lake Wales, co-owner Robert Connors shared with Business Debut. Connors, alongside his wife Susan and other investors, is bringing this concept to 126 N 1st St, Lake Wales, FL 33853. Connors was inspired by the city’s ambitious urban renewal plan, Lake Wales Connected. The $40M downtown renovation project, designed by Dover, Kohl & Partners, aims to revitalize the area and provide new opportunities for growth.

The Wine Garden to Bring Charcuterie and More to Lakeland

The Wine Garden, a wine and cheese retail shop and bar, is set to open in early 2025 in Lakeland, according to owner Lisa Brophy. Located at 1204 Florida Ave S, Lakeland, FL 33803, the space will offer a cozy venue with 36 seats, including a garden area in the back for guests to relax and enjoy their selections.

Oz Japanese Grill Bringing Authentic Cuisine to Brandon

Oz Japanese Grill, a new full-service Japanese restaurant, is set to open soon in Brandon, owner Ozzie Barnett shared with Business Debut. Located at 1511 W Brandon Blvd #151, Brandon, FL 33511, the restaurant will offer an authentic Japanese dining experience with seating for around 100 guests.

Barnett’s vision for Oz Japanese Grill includes a menu filled with Japanese cuisine favorites in a welcoming and refined atmosphere.

Sunshine City Tavern Bringing Vibrant 90’s Vibes to St. Petersburg

Sunshine City Tavern, the latest venture from Chef Ted Dorsey and fellow restaurant veteran Teddy Skiadiotis, is set to open in St. Petersburg early next year, Chef Dorsey shared with Business Debut.

Located at 4351 4th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33703, the tavern is expected to open in January, Chef Dorsey said. The atmosphere will be inspired by Dorsey’s memories of St. Pete in the 1990's, featuring bright, loud, neon colors and a lively atmosphere.
