Local Entrepreneurs Expanding Brand Presence in Jacksonville
A new location of Checkers and two new locations of Tikka Bowls and Tacos are in the works.
Entrepreneur and franchisee Krupal Patel shared with FFBW that he and his business partner Pritesh Patel are preparing to expand their presence in the Jacksonville market an beyond.
The pair are opening another location of Checkers this fall, Patel shared. Following that, they expect to open two more locations of their brand Tikka Bowls and Tacos before the end of the year.
Patel shared that the new Checkers is waiting on architectural permits to be approved and impact fees to be finalized at: 9555 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. If progress continues normally, they will open in October.
An exact addresses for the Tikka and Tacos locations aren't available yet, but we know that one restaurant will go to Downtown Jacksonville and the other will open on San Jose Boulevard.
The Tikka Bowls and Tacos brand has begun franchising, Patel reported. They recently opened a franchised location in Arlington, TX and have another on the way in Fort Worth, TX. They're also finalizing a lease with a franchisee in the Orlando area, Patel said. Other Central Florida locations are under development as well.
Overall, but the end of the year, they expect to have 8-10 locations opened.
