PORT ST. JOE, FL — The Fish Market is targeting a May 10th opening at 114 Sailors Cove Dr, Port St. Joe, FL 32456, where Jair Arreguin said he is opening the concept alongside his father, Alejandro Arreguin, and uncle, Max Arreguin. The family already operates Cuatro Locos, a Mexican cantina in Port St. Joe, and Pomodoro, an Italian restaurant at St. Joseph’s Bay Golf Course, and Arreguin told Business Debut The Fish Market will build on that family-run approach with a seafood-focused concept.

The new business will combine a full-service restaurant, seafood market and retail component, Arreguin told Business Debut. He said guests will be able to dine in, shop for fresh seafood to take home or buy items such as shrimp and have them boiled on-site at no extra charge.

What to Expect

Arreguin told Business Debut the goal is to bring fresh local seafood and oysters to Port St. Joe with flavors that reflect both the Gulf Coast and the family’s background from Mexico City. He said the team is also working with nearby producers and suppliers to bring in local products.

The space is expected to seat about 150 to 170 guests inside and outside, Arreguin told Business Debut. That includes a covered patio and additional outdoor seating with views of the bay and lighthouse.

Arreguin told Business Debut one of the signature items will be a seafood boil with snow crab, local shrimp, mussels and clams, with add-on options such as lobster. He said the dish is being designed to work either as an individual order or a family-style meal for four to five people.

Another featured dish will be a Mediterranean-style fish entree built around local catch and fresh produce, Arreguin told Business Debut. He also said the restaurant is planning a full bar with tropical cocktails, frozen drinks, wine and craft beer.

Opening Timeline

The Fish Market is targeting May 10th for its opening, Arreguin told Business Debut. He said the team also expects to hold two soft openings for friends and family near the end of April.

Hours

Arreguin told Business Debut the restaurant is expected to serve lunch and dinner. He said the market will open earlier in the day, with closing time likely around 9 p.m., though that could extend to 11 p.m. if demand supports it.

The team is still deciding whether the business will close on Sundays or Mondays for maintenance and deep cleaning, Arreguin told Business Debut.
