Talkin' Tacos Opening Plans in Brandon
The franchise group Black Apron Hospitality will be opening this unit.
BRANDON, FL — Talkin' Tacos is preparing to open a new, franchise-owned restaurant at 1916 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511. The franchise group, Black Apron Hospitality, is led by Raheel Razzaq and Mohsin Husain. They are targeting early to mid-November, Husain told Business Debut in a phone interview.
The Brandon restaurant will be the second Talkin' Tacos location for the group and the fourth in the Tampa Bay area.
Menu and Vision
Talkin' Tacos features a menu built around customizable tacos, burritos, quesadillas and bowls.
Protein choices include options such as grilled chicken, carne asada, birria, shrimp and al pastor, with guests able to select flour or corn tortillas, toppings and salsas.
The brand is also known for their birria tacos and consomé, loaded nachos, street corn, birria ramen and taco bowls.
Talkin' Tacos is also known for staying open late and serving guests in the early hours of the morning.
Ownership Background
Husain shared that he and his business partner Raheel Razzaq have decades of experience as entrepreneurs.
Both of their families have worked in the restaurant and food and beverage industry for a long time, and the two grew up working in restaurants.
Husain said that background led them to build restaurants of their own and now to run a portfolio that adds different types of concepts, including Talkin' Tacos and Big Dave's Cheesesteaks.
Husain said they chose the Black Apron Hospitality name to recognize restaurant workers.
"The idea behind the hospitality group is to give homage to the actual workers, which in restaurants, almost everyone in the front of the house and back of house is wearing a black apron," Husain told Business Debut.
He said those workers make it possible for the group to operate.
Opening Timeline
Husain said the team is targeting an opening in early to mid-November, with the date still to be announced.
He said that timing could shift based on construction and permitting.
