Sweet Melissa’s Cafe, the James Beard Award-nominated restaurant previously located on Sanibel Island, is making a return in Fort Myers this March. Chef Melissa Donahue, who led the acclaimed eatery before it was destroyed by Hurricane Ian, is bringing the beloved concept back under the new name Sweet Melissa’s Restaurant.

The new restaurant, set to open in mid-March, will feature a 125-seat dining space and a full bar at 16230 Summerlin Rd 210-211, Fort Myers, FL 33908. Donahue’s husband, Tom Juneau, is a partner in the business, and Kevin O’Malley (K.O.) will helm the bar, offering a signature selection of drinks to complement the restaurant’s chef-driven cuisine.
