Scrape Yuh Plate Bringing Jamaican Food Truck to Orlando Area
The new food truck will serve authentic Jamaican dishes including oxtail, curry goat, and jerk chicken.
ORLANDO, FL — Scrape Yuh Plate, a Jamaican cuisine food truck from Rajiv Graham and his wife, Nastasia Reid, is preparing to begin serving Seminole and Orange counties this month. Graham told Business Debut he is targeting an opening around May 26.
What to Expect
Scrape Yuh Plate will operate as a mobile food truck serving festivals, events and other locations across Seminole and Orange counties, Graham told Business Debut.
Graham said he also hopes to eventually find a set location where regular customers can know where to find the truck.
Menu and Vision
Guests can expect Jamaican dishes including oxtail, curry goat, jerk chicken, rice and peas, roasted corn, roti and mixed vegetables, Graham told Business Debut.
Graham said he is also looking into adding items such as oxtail quesadillas.
“I’ve been here for a little while now, and one of the things that I’ve noticed, especially with the Jamaican cuisine that’s been served here, is that it’s not being done traditionally,” Graham told Business Debut. “I’m here to actually change that a bit.”
Graham has worked in the restaurant industry for more than 14 years in Jamaica and the U.S. He said Scrape Yuh Plate is his first food business venture in the U.S.
Opening Timeline
Scrape Yuh Plate is targeting an opening around May 26, Graham told Business Debut.
