Northbound Tavern Replacing Choate BBQ & Bar in Ball Ground

BALL GROUND, GA — Northbound Tavern is targeting a June opening at 10150 Ball Ground Hwy, Ball Ground, GA 30107. Owner Guillermo Pomares told Business Debut the concept will be a full-service tavern with a bar and seating for around 80 guests.
What to Expect
Northbound Tavern will operate as a full-service restaurant and bar offering a range of American tavern fare. “We’re gonna have a bunch of really nice sandwiches, a couple of steak cuts. We’re gonna have seafood,” Pomares told Business Debut.
The menu will focus on quality and preparation. “There’s gonna be something for everybody, but it’s not gonna be like sports bar food,” Pomares told Business Debut.
Pomares said the kitchen will incorporate wood-fired cooking techniques for dishes like wings and steaks.

The team is targeting a June opening, Pomares told Business Debut.

Northbound Tavern is expected to open daily starting at 11 a.m. Pomares told Business Debut closing hours are still being finalized, with weekends potentially extending to midnight.
