New in Clearwater: The Lucky Dill Opening Soon
Here's the latest on Clearwater's dining scene.
CLEARWATER, FL — The Lucky Dill, a New York-style deli based in Palm Harbor, plans to open a smaller-format location at 662 S Gulfview Blvd, Clearwater, FL 33767 targeting October, owner Bill Lagamba told Business Debut.
Lagamba and his partners bought the original Palm Harbor restaurant about three years ago. The original Lucky Dill has operated in the area for more than 40 years as a deli and bakery before Lagamba acquired it.
What to Expect
The Clearwater Beach restaurant will offer a condensed version of the Palm Harbor menu. “It’s going to be all the top items,” Lagamba said. He described the concept as a mix of dine-in and grab-and-go. “We’re known for a stacked very high sandwich, a large New York-style sandwich."
Menu and Vision
The Lucky Dill menu centers on New York deli staples, like pastrami, corned beef, turkey and roast beef.
Matzo ball soup and selected salads will also be available in Clearwater. The team is curating a smaller menu than the Palm Harbor flagship, focusing on the best sellers.
Opening Timeline
Lagamba said construction is nearing completion and that the team is entering training and staffing. He is targeting an opening sometime in October, with a soft opening followed by a grand opening.
