Mary Lou’s, a new cocktail bar and lounge, is set to open in mid-January in West Palm Beach, co-owner Joe Cervasio shared with Business Debut. Located in the historic circular building at 250 Southern Blvd, West Palm Beach, FL 33405, formerly home to Berto’s Corner Store, the venue will blend a high-end lounge with a nod to local history.

The entrance will pay homage to Berto’s Corner Store, a beloved former community staple, by replicating its bait-and-tackle and convenience store aesthetic. Guests will be guided through a speakeasy-style door into an opulent lounge offering seating for up to 110 patrons. Mary Lou’s concept is also a personal tribute to co-owner Alex Melillo’s grandmother, Mary Lou Curtis, a celebrated figure in Palm Beach’s golden era of fashion and society.

The team behind Mary Lou’s includes three main owners: Alex Melillo, Joe Cervasio, and Topher Grubb, all of whom have extensive experience in high-end hospitality. Their expertise promises an exceptional experience, with a menu reimagining classic dishes using premium ingredients and expert execution. The bar will feature a standout cocktail program, including a carefully crafted martini selection, ensuring it becomes a destination for both drinks and dining in West Palm Beach.
