Mama’s Pizza Opening Second Location in Brookhaven
Classic pizzas, Italian dishes, and draft beer highlight new Atlanta location with indoor seating and patio dining.
BROOKHAVEN, GA — Mama’s Pizza, owned by Jimmy Vavaroutsos, is preparing to open a new location at 1430 Lake Hearn Dr NE Ste A, Brookhaven, GA 30319 , targeting an early to mid-May debut, Vavaroutsos told Business Debut.
What to Expect
The Brookhaven location will be a new build within a retail portion of the Amli apartment development, featuring both indoor and outdoor seating. The space will include approximately 48 seats inside and around 32 seats on the patio, along with a walk-up garage-style window that opens to outdoor counter seating.
Guests can also expect TVs positioned for patio viewing and a green space nearby for outdoor enjoyment. Vavaroutsos said the goal is to create a neighborhood-friendly environment where guests can dine in or enjoy the outdoor setup.
A key addition at this location will be an expanded beverage program, including 12 draft beer taps. “We definitely wanted to have more of a variety at this location,” Vavaroutsos told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
The menu will largely mirror the longtime Alpharetta location, with classic pizzas and Italian offerings, alongside plans for rotating monthly specials. Vavaroutsos noted that the Brookhaven location may introduce additional pasta dishes as part of those specials.
Mama’s Pizza traces its roots back to 1979 in Roswell, following the family’s move from New York, where Vavaroutsos’ father operated multiple pizza shops. The brand has maintained consistency in its ingredients and approach over the decades. “We’ve been around for a while,” Vavaroutsos told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting an opening in the first or second week of May, with timing dependent on final construction progress.
Hours
Hours are expected to be Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m., Vavaroutsos told Business Debut.
