Just Like Momma's Soul Food and Wings Going Brick and Mortar

A food trailer that's been operating in the Orlando area for three years is preparing to go brick and mortar this summer, owner Valerie Sparkman told FFBW.

Just Like Momma's Soul Food and Wings has been operating on the weekends as Sparkman is a teacher during the week; however, she shared that she's retiring to take on opening the new restaurant.

Currently building out at: 44 E 5th St, Apopka, FL 32703, Sparkman is planning a grand opening for July 7th. The restaurant, Sparkman said, will be open Wednesday through Sunday, from 8 am - 7pm, and on Friday and Saturday, they'll stay open until 9 pm.

The menu will be southern style soul food, chicken wings, oxtail, greens and much more. Expect to enjoy some plant based and vegan dishes too. The restaurant will be serving breakfast, which Sparkman wasn't able to provide in the trailer. She will also offer beer and wine.

The space will seat between 100-120 guests. They'll have full service dining and order at the counter take out as well.
