Hot Birdie's Chicken Returning as Birdies at Benton in Tallahassee
Owner Kevin Stout is revamping the fried chicken restaurant after closing Hot Birdie's Chicken.
Co-owner of the former Hot Birdie's Chicken is returning to Tallahassee with a new concept called Birdie's at Benton. This news comes following the closure of the two Hot Birdie's Chicken restaurants in Gainesville and Tallahassee. Owner of Birdie's at Benton Kevin Stout reported that the delicious fried chicken sandwich will be back in a month or two.
The former Hot Birdie's Chicken centered its menu around a staple chicken sandwich. Stout observed how popular the sandwich was on the menu of his restaurant Food Glorious Food. This observation gave him the idea to create an entire brand focused on chicken.
Stout opened units in Tallahassee and Gainesville where they grew in popularity, but they ultimately shut down. However, Stout is creating a new brand to fill the void left by Hot Birdie's Chicken: Birdies at Benton.
The new Birdies at Benton will feature a bar, indoor and outdoor space, with a combined total of 200 seats. An exact opening date isn't available; however Stout estimates opening in one or two months.
You can keep up with the brand via Instagram. Find the new restaurant at: 1950 Thomasville Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32303, where it will share a plaza with Stout's Food Glorious Food and another restaurant he owns.
