Fresh Kitchen Bringing Scratch-Made Bowls to Winter Park
The popular Florida concept will feature customizable bowls, fresh ingredients, and indoor-outdoor dining at its new Winter Park location.
WINTER PARK, FL — Fresh Kitchen, the Florida-based build-your-own bowl concept founded by the Lanza family, James Lanza and his sons, Matt and Steve, is targeting a late 2026 opening for its 18th location at 818 S. Orlando Ave., Winter Park, FL 32789.
The restaurant, part of Ciccio Restaurant Group, will be overseen locally by Regional Partner Jordan Fowler, who oversees the brand’s five Orlando-area locations, CEO Tyler Azzarelli told Business Debut.
What to Expect
Fresh Kitchen is a fast-casual, build-your-own bowl concept centered on scratch-made roasted vegetables, grilled proteins, bases, sauces and add-ons. The Winter Park restaurant will have about 35 seats inside and 25 to 30 seats outside, Azzarelli told Business Debut.
Guests will move through a line and choose from bases, vegetables, proteins and sauces to build a three-, four- or six-part bowl. “Depending on how you feel like eating, whatever you’re in the mood for, you can really make a bowl that matches,” Azzarelli told Business Debut.
The Winter Park restaurant will also feature Fresh Kitchen’s updated logo, colors and brand design. Azzarelli said guests can expect more elevated finishes, depth and texture in a space designed to showcase the food.
Menu and Vision
The menu includes bases such as kale Caesar and brown rice, vegetables including broccoli and green beans, and proteins such as grilled chicken, steak, salmon and baked almond tenders. Azzarelli pointed to the sweet potato noodles as a fan favorite and also highlighted the creamy white ginger sauce and coconut sriracha, both made from scratch in house.

Fresh Kitchen’s proteins are hormone- and antibiotic-free, and the brand does not use seed oils, gluten or added sugar in its recipes, Azzarelli told Business Debut. “It is full-service, high-quality food and ingredients in a fast environment,” he said.
Fresh Kitchen opened its first location in 2014 on Howard Avenue in Tampa and has grown slowly across Florida while maintaining the standards set by the Lanza family, Azzarelli told Business Debut.
Azzarelli said Fresh Kitchen’s mission is “food that’s good for people and a company that’s good to people.” He also shared that the brand composts food waste and diverted more than 1 million pounds from landfills into compost last year.
The company’s current goal is to grow Fresh Kitchen to 100 restaurants, Azzarelli told Business Debut. The brand is actively looking across Florida and plans additional openings in 2026 and 2027 before considering markets outside the state.
