BROWARD COUNTY

Parlor Doughnuts

Four new Parlor Doughnuts shops are planned to open in Broward County. Franchisees Ed and Desirae Valentin shared details about the first unit with FFBW, along with potential locations for the follow three shops.

The Valentins reported that after some delay, they should receive their final building permit in the next week or two. Once this starts, they will have a four-to-six month build out before opening. Thus, the Fort Lauderdale Parlor Doughnuts doesn't have a set opening date quite yet, but it's in the works.

Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken

Two new locations of Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken are preparing to open soon in Tamarac, area developer Alex Gavilla told FFBW. The Hangry Joe's Hot Chicken brand is rapidly expanding in South Florida, and several more units are planned after this one.

The Tamarac restaurant is planned to open at: 5705 N University Dr, Tamarac, FL 33321. Gavilla said that they are planning to debut toward the end of March if all continues smoothly.

Rolling Flavors

A new food truck is planning to open soon in Fort Lauderdale, co-owner Trad Hamdan told FFBW.

Rolling Flavors will be a fusion food truck, bringing flavors from Asia, the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and many other regions. Expect sandwiches, ribeye hot dogs, Lebanese dishes and much more. Hamdan said that the chef, Ryan Wright, is narrowing down the menu to release specific items soon.

Once opened, Rolling Flavors will be traveling to events and festivals throughout the area. They plan to debut on March 29 at Roxanne's Liquor Bar & Kitchen at: 823 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33304.

PALM BEACH COUNTY

Rocket Subs

A new food truck specializing in Italian-style sandwiches will be opening soon in Palm Beach County, owner Ryan Laggini told FFBW.

Rocket Subs doesn't have an exact menu yet, but Laggini reported that he'll be serving hot and cold subs. Once opened, he will find an area where he can frequently be found to sell his sandwiches.

Laggini is also the owner of Bubble Waffles Food Truck, which has been open for a few months. At this time, Laggini doesn't have the operating hours nailed down for Rocket Subs.



Florida Foodies

A new food trailer is opening in Boca Raton, co-owner Tiffany Mendoza told FFBW.

Florida Foodies will be serving classic American fare, like burgers, fries, hot dogs, chicken tenders and more. The trailer is in the works currently, and Mendoza hopes to open in a few weeks.

Once opened, they will be traveling to events in the area to sell their food. Exact dates and hours of operation aren't available yet.

Watch out for Florida Foodies soon in Boca Raton.

LEE COUNTY

The Food Twisters

The second unit of the food truck brand The Food Twisters is opening soon in Lehigh Acres, owner Lester Bermudez told FFBW.

The first Food Twisters truck has been open for several months, and now Bermudez is opening a second trailer that will be stationary and open seven days a week. The new trailer will be 36 feet long and will stake out at: 4507 Lee Blvd, Lehigh Acres, FL 33971.

Bermudez is planning to debut the trailer on April 1st. He'll maintain hours of 7am - 10pm. The smaller truck will continue to travel around the area to festivals and events.

Expect food like burgers, pulled pork burgers, a meal called the Vortex, Holy Macaroni and many others.

Yonutz

The donut and dessert franchise Yonutz is planning to open in Cape Coral, franchisee Cedric Willis told FFBW.

The development of this Yonutz location is still early on, Willis said. An opening timeline isn't available currently. We can expect to find them at: 106 Hancock Bridge Pkwy, Cape Coral, FL 33991.

The brand is known for blending ice cream and donuts. They have a signature dish of a hot pressed donut sandwich with ice cream in the middle. Go to the website to check out the brand's other offerings.

ORANGE COUNTY

New York Pizza Company

A new pizza and wings restaurant is opening on East Colonial Drive inside of a Mobil gas station, co-owner Amar Mehta told FFBW. New York Pizza Company is planning to serve dine in, take out, and delivery pizza once opened.

The restaurant will debut at: 18406 E Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32820. Once opened, guests will be able to come in and buy food from New York Pizza Company and drinks from the gas station.

Currently, Mehta and his team are getting together the last of their equipment and installing it. He expected to open in the first or second week of April.

No website is available quite yet.



Benny's Burgers

A new burger and fries food truck is preparing to open soon in Orlando, owner Benito Rodriguez told FFBW. Rodriguez is opening Benny's Burgers after learning the craft of making smash burgers in his free time. He told FFBW that he could only hear 'you should sell these,' from his friends and family so many times before taking action.

Benny's Burgers is nearly ready to open, aside from getting the final paperwork finished. Currently, Rodriguez is planning for a mid-April opening.

Once operational, Benny's Burgers will go to events and festivals around town. Additionally, they will try to find areas where they can maintain regular operating hours. To keep up with where they will go, follow them on Instagram.

Watch out for smash burgers and fries in Orlando soon.

SEMINOLE COUNTY

Say'n Sum'n BBQ

A new soul food and BBQ food truck is coming to the area soon, owner Rosalin Troupe told FFBW. Troupe shared that she is planning to open the new truck as soon as April 1st.

Expect to enjoy dishes like BBQ ribs, chicken, steak subs, and Sunday dinners with oxtail and goat. Once open Say'n Sum'n BBQ will travel to different events and festival and foodie hot spots between Wednesday and Sunday each week.

PINELLAS COUNTY

Eggs Up Grill

A new location of the breakfast and lunch franchisee Eggs Up Grill is opening in Clearwater, franchisee John Corso told FFBW.

This location is under construction at: 1500 McMullen Booth Rd A13 & A14, Clearwater, FL 33759. Corso reported that they are planning to debut in late June. Once this location is opened, another is planned to debut a year following.

Eggs Up Grill offers breakfast and lunch foods from hash brown bowls, waffles, Benedicts, sandwiches and much more.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

The Cuban Empanada and Fry Bar

A new location for The Cuban Empanada and Fry Bar is planning to open very soon in Tampa. This is the second location, which follows the brand's debut two years ago on Armenia Avenue.

This new restaurant will be in a slightly larger space that features indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, owner Norma Bedell shared that they will adding a few new items to the menu.

PASCO COUNTY

Fazoli's

A new location of the Fazoli's Italian fast casual brand is opening in Lutz soon, franchisee Carlos Saenz told FFBW.

Saenz's team is hard at work at: 24791 FL-54, Lutz, FL 33559. He estimates that they are about 85% done with construction, and a grand opening is scheduled for April.

Saenz, who is a franchisee of Dairy Queen restaurants, is planning to open four more locations of Fazoli's in the Pasco and Pinellas markets. The next location will likely open 12-24 months after this initial store.

Fazoli's is known for their delicious Italian offerings, from subs, meatballs, lasagna, to pizza, ziti bakes and more. The Fazoli's menu can be viewed online.


Straight to the Bone

A new soul food and Puerto Rican fusion food trailer is opening soon in Port Richey. Owner Brian Fraizer told FFBW that he and his wife are preparing to debut Straight to the Bone as their first food trailer.

The menu will include ribs, rib tips, pulled pork, biscuits, empanadas, mofongo and more. They plan to open in a couple of weeks. They haven't worked out their operating hours yet, but they will frequently appear at: 7046 Ridge Rd, Port Richey, FL 34668.

Look out for Straight to the Bone in a few weeks.

MARION COUNTY

Springside Cafe and Paradise's Treats

Two new concepts are re-opening in the Silver Springs State Park, owner Daniel LeBlanc told FFBW. Springside Cafe opened on March 8, and the dessert shop and diner is planning to open within a month.

LeBlanc, who owns Cape Concessions Corporation, shared that the building in the state park has been renovated and restored after years of deferred maintenance, and now him and his team are bringing new life to the restaurant spaces.

DUVAL COUNTY

Miso Hungry

A new Asian fusion food truck is coming to Jacksonville soon, owner Roger Roland told FFBW. Miso Hungry is a spin off from Roland's brick and mortar restaurant in Statesboro, Georgia.

The truck will serve what Roland calls "oriental flamed fusion." Expect dishes drawn from the culinary traditions from China, Japan, Thailand, South Korea and more. The menu will contain hibachi style meals, Korean fried chicken and much more.

The truck is planning to debut in and around Jacksonville as soon as Roland gets the approval to do business in Florida. Once opened, Miso Hungry will travel around Florida to attend events.

BAY COUNTY

Pizzana

A new food truck is opening soon in Panama City, owner Anabel Gonzalez told FFBW. Pizzana will open in a couple of weeks.

Once opened, Gonzalez will operate all throughout Bay County, finding popular spots to set up and sell his food. Expect to enjoy pizza and spaghetti and other Italian dishes.

Gonzalez plans to be open seven days a week.

WALTON COUNTY

The BenTea Stop

A new food truck is coming to Freeport soon, co-owner Elianna Franz told FFBW. The BenTea Stop is planning to bring mobile boba tea, lemonade, fruit smoothies and chicken, steak, shrimp or tofu teriyaki dishes to the Freeport area.

Franz shared that this is her first food truck. She will be open 7 days a week. Eventually, The BenTea Stop may be closed on Mondays.

The truck will be mobile once opened and will rotate to different areas. Franz intends also to serve healthcare professionals at nearby hospitals. Follow the Facebook page to keep up with when and where The BenTea Stop will open.
