A new location for The Cuban Empanada and Fry Bar is planning to open very soon in Tampa. This is the second location, which follows the brand's debut two years ago on Armenia Avenue.

This new restaurant will be in a slightly larger space that features indoor and outdoor seating. Additionally, owner Norma Bedell shared that they will adding some new items to the menu.

While both locations will have the made-to-order Cuban empanadas (air or deep fried) and potato and yucca fries, this new unit will have sandwich and salad options as well. Bedell uses her Cuban father's roasted pork recipes for their Cuban sandwiches and Cuban sandwich empanadas (complete with little slices of pickle inside).

Expect also a wider selection of coffees, teas, nitro brew, alcohol free spritzers and other beverages. In addition to the award winning traditional Cuban sandwiches and empanadas, the brand offers vegan renditions of their dishes.

Bedell told FFBW that she wished to honor her late husband, David Bedell, who helped start the brand from scratch. On the day their first restaurant opened, David fell ill with pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately, he passed a year ago; however, Norma said that he always knew the Cuban Empanada and Fry Bar brand would be a success, even from the start.

Look for The Cuban Empanada and Fry Bar toward the end of this month. Follow them online.

The new location will debut at: 5411 Beaumont Center Blvd, Suite 705, Tampa, FL 33634.
