Coming Soon Sarasota: Avocado's Cocina Mexicana & Bar Opening 3rd Location

SARASOTA, FL — Avocado's Cocina Mexicana & Bar is planning a new full-service restaurant and bar at 6131 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231, owner Ramiro Ramirez Saldana told Business Debut in a recent phone interview.

Ramirez Saldana said the Tamiami Trail restaurant will be the third location for the brand. Avocado's is a family business run by Ramirez Saldana and his immediate family. The brand has two location further north in Manatee County.

What to Expect

The new location will seat about 200 guests. He said the restaurant will offer full table service and a full liquor license.

Ramirez Saldana said the menu at the Sarasota restaurant will match the existing Avocado's locations.

“We sell traditional Mexican foods, authentic, and we use our family's recipes,” Ramirez Saldana said. Dishes will include fajitas, quesadillas and other Mexican plates.

The bar program will feature margaritas and a range of Mexican tequilas, along with other popular spirits.

He traced the business back to 2013 on Manatee Avenue, where the family operated under the Habaneros Mexican Grill name before updating branding to Avocado's in 2022.
