Coming Soon College Park: Alma Argentina

The Argentinian brand is opening a new restaurant and commissary kitchen.

ORLANDO, FL — Alma Argentina plans to open a new College Park restaurant at 2304 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32804 and launch a new commissary kitchen in Casselberry, owner Marisa Flores told Business Debut in a phone interview.

Flores said this year marks the fifth year for Alma Argentina, which opened its first location in Oviedo and a second in Celebration.

The College Park restaurant will be the third location for the brand.

What to Expect

Alma Argentina focuses on steaks, homemade empanadas, milanesas, and several other dishes drawing from Argentinian cuisine. The name Alma Argentina translates to Argentine Soul. Guests can also expect beer and Argentine wines on the menu.

Each location includes a small market area with Argentine packaged goods.

Additionally, Alma Argentina offers catering services, and between the storefronts and the catering orders, Flores estimates that they sell 10,000 empanadas a month. Flores said the team is working to strengthen operations to support future expansion.

Flores said the College Park space is about 1,500 square feet.

In addition to the new restaurant, Flores is building out a new commissary kitchen to increase empanada production and satisfy catering demand. The new commissary will open at 110 Live Oaks Boulevard is planned as a production hub and small market.

Flores said the commissary will produce food for the restaurants and offer frozen empanadas, prepared meats and Argentine grocery items for retail shoppers.

Opening Timeline

Flores said the College Park restaurant is undergoing a major interior remodel. She is targeting an opening in about one month for the Edgewater Drive location.

The Casselberry commissary kitchen is also targeting an opening in about one month, Flores told Business Debut.
