Essenza Italian Eatery & Market
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Essenza Italian Eatery & Market is opening May 25th at 2831 E Commercial Blvd, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. Owner Maria Avallone told Business Debut the restaurant is part of the business she owns with her husband, Roberto Junco, who gave her the restaurant as a gift for her 40th birthday. The opening date is also Avallone’s birthday, she told Business Debut.

Melt
SARASOTA, FL — Melt, a locally owned smash burger, fries and shakes restaurant from Omar Alnadi, his brother and owner Zack Alnadi, and their father, Abe Alnadi, is targeting a July 15 soft opening at 8420 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, Sarasota, FL 34243. A grand opening is planned for August 15 if the timeline stays on track, Omar Alnadi told Business Debut in a phone interview.

Monti Primo Ristorante
BELLEVIEW, FL — Monti Primo Ristorante is preparing to open at 11008 SE 66th Terrace, Belleview, FL 34420, bringing a modern Italian restaurant to the former Tropical Vibes Restaurant and Bar space. Chef Mondi Markeci told Business Debut he is opening the restaurant with help from his parents, Mike and Suzana Markeci.

Cuban Oven
HIALEAH, FL — Cuban Oven is preparing to open at 395 E. 1st Ave., Hialeah, FL 33010, with husband and wife owners Vladimir Sanchez and Maite Capote targeting an early to mid-June opening, Sanchez told Business Debut. Cuban Oven will bring a fresh-food approach to Cuban cooking in downtown Hialeah.
Picanha 305 Brazilian Steakhouse
MIAMI, FL — Picanha 305 Brazilian Steakhouse is targeting an opening by the end of next week at 204 NE 1st St., Miami, FL 33132, owner Valter Guida told Business Debut. Guida and his wife, Carol Li, are behind the new upscale Brazilian steakhouse, which will open in the former Sparky’s Barbecue space downtown. Picanha 305 will center on Brazilian steakhouse service with a salad bar, grilled meats and a pay-by-weight ordering process.

Laplies Caribbean Eatz
ORLANDO, FL — Laplies Caribbean Eatz is preparing to open at 2800 South Rio Grande Ave., Orlando, FL 32805, with an opening date to be announced regualtory approval.
Owner Ginette Daphinis told Business Debut the restaurant is ready in a days notice once the approval comes through. Laplies Caribbean Eatz will be a takeout-focused restaurant serving a mix of Haitian, Caribbean and American-style food.
Trattoria Napoli
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL — Trattoria Napoli is targeting a July 23 opening at 5470 7th St., Zephyrhills, FL 33542, Chef-owner Matthew Zappoli told Business Debut. The opening timeline is contingent on construction, licensing and the certificate of occupancy. Zappoli is opening the neighborhood Italian restaurant with support from his wife, Idania Reyes, who has helped with menu design and development of the concept.

Two Daughters Bagels
LARGO, FL — Two Daughters Bagels is targeting an August 2026 opening in the Largo Retail Shoppes plaza at 10593 Ulmerton Road, Largo, FL 33771, owner Justin Miller told Business Debut. The shop will open in a 2,100-square-foot former mobility store that is being converted into a restaurant space. Miller said the larger footprint gives the business room to grow after opening.
Sarasota County

JavaCone
SARASOTA, FL — JavaCone, a locally owned, family-owned and operated coffee and ice cream shop from Stephen Vrondran, his wife Jemma, and their children Kayden, and Stephi, is targeting an early to mid-July opening at 5537 Palmer Crossing Circle, Sarasota, FL 34233 in the Palmer Crossing Shopping Center, Vrondran told Business Debut.
