Winter Springs Openings: Neighborhood Kitchen Coming Soon

WINTER SPRINGS, FL — Neighborhood Kitchen, a new neighborhood-focused restaurant and bar from owner Pedro Bota, is targeting an early November opening at 1301 Winter Springs Blvd, Winter Springs, FL 32708, Bota told Business Debut.

The restaurant sits within a residential area that Bota estimates includes about 5,000 nearby homes, and he sees it as a local gathering spot for those residents.

What to Expect

Neighborhood Kitchen will seat about 50 guests inside and about 60 outside, Bota said. The space will also include a full bar with seating for about 10 or 11 people.

The concept is centered on the surrounding community. He pointed to the lack of other restaurants nearby and said the goal is to give residents a place to dine close to home.

The focus will be on what Bota called “super good food.” The menu will feature handmade pizzas, house bolognese, Alfredo sauce made from scratch, classic meatloaf, and more.

Other dishes will be Peruvian ceviche. The chef’s background will also show up in Mexican breakfast dishes such as chilaquiles and huevos rancheros, along with pancakes and other classic American options.

“Our passion is really our food,” Bota said.

Ownership Background

Bota owns Racks Billiards in Sanford and Racks Pizza and Pool in Casselberry.

Before owning restaurants, Bota managed locations of Keke’s Breakfast Cafe. He said that long exposure to breakfast and casual dining helped shape his interest in opening a stand-alone restaurant.

“I always liked the restaurant business,” Bota said.

He said the idea for Neighborhood Kitchen developed with his chefs and business partners as they saw a chance to build a place they could be proud of.

Opening Timeline

Neighborhood Kitchen is targeting an early November opening, Bota said. He added that the team expects to be ready by that timeframe.

Hours

Bota said Neighborhood Kitchen plans to open every day. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, the restaurant will open at 7 a.m. for breakfast.
