Viva Pancho Opening a Taqueria in Canton

Viva Pancho, the beloved Mexican restaurant known for its homestyle flavors, is preparing to open a second location at 535 Riverstone Pkwy, Canton, GA 30114. Owner Eduardo “Lalo” Magana told Business Debut that the new spot is currently in the permitting stage and preparing to start the build-out, with an estimated opening in the next couple of months.

The restaurant will be taqueria-style. Customers will order at the counter and enjoy authentic Mexican foods derived from Magana’s family recipes. The restaurant will be open daily with the same hours as the first location from 11 am–9 pm on Monday through Wednesday, 11 am–10 pm on Thursday through Saturday, and 11 am–9 pm on Sunday.

“We’re still offering variety and authenticity,” Magana said. “It’ll feel like home cooking, with some seafood options and, of course, margaritas, including to-go margaritas now that Georgia allows them as long as they’re sealed.”

Viva Pancho’s story began six years ago when Magana purchased the original restaurant from his former employer. “He knew I wanted to take the next step, and I'm super blessed and always thankful for him for giving me the opportunity,” Magana shared.

Regarding the current expansion, Magana said, "it felt like the right time to grow. My goal is to have multiple restaurants.”
