This New Caribbean Market and Restaurant is Opening in North Miami Beach

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL – Double Take Market & Eatery, a specialty market and fast-casual eatery, is targeting an opening in two to three months at 319 NE 167th Street, North Miami Beach, FL 33162, operating partner Sterline Vil told Business Debut in a recent phone interview.

Vil described Double Take Market & Eatery as a place where customers can shop for groceries and stay for a meal.

What to Expect

Vil said the space will include tables for guests who want to eat on-site. "You could eat your lunch and then grab something to cook at home," Vil shared with Business Debut in a phone interview.

Guests will be able to select steaks from the meat case and have them cooked on the grill. Double Take Market & Eatery also plans catering and meal prep services for customers seeking ready-made options, Vil said.

Vil said the menu will focus on Caribbean fusion. Vil is Haitian and said the ownership group also includes Puerto Rican partners. "We'll have a mixture of everything," Vil told Business Debut.

On the market side, Vil said the grocery selection will center on specialty dry goods and imported items. Shelves will feature products such organic rice and many other items imported from Haiti.

A display case will showcase fresh cuts of meat and seafood. Vil said the case will highlight higher-end selections for customers to take home or have prepared on-site.

Opening Timeline

Vil said the team is targeting an opening in about two to three months. Plans remain under review and the space is in the early stages of construction.

Hours

Double Take Market & Eatery plans to open seven days a week, Vil told Business Debut.

Vil said the team is still finalizing exact hours, with current plans targeting a window between 8 a.m. — 5 p.m. that will cover breakfast and lunch. Dinner hours are to be announced.
