SAVANNAH, GA — Daniel Reed Hospitality is planning to open Sela this summer at 250 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401, according to Caleb Poppell, director of operations at Daniel Reed Hospitality.

What to Expect

Sela is set for the garden level of a historic townhome near Liberty and Bull, in a space Poppell described as intimate, with low ceilings and a European feel. The restaurant is expected to seat about 50 guests inside, with plans for some additional sidewalk patio seating.

Service will be centered around a large horseshoe-shaped bar designed to accommodate a mix of walk-in seating, along with a smaller number of tables available for reservations.

The concept will pull culinary inspiration from across Spain’s regions, with a menu built around Spanish tapas and small plates. Poppell said Savannah has plenty of small-plates restaurants, but Sela aims to more directly reflect Spanish culinary traditions.

The culinary program is being developed by the team behind Local 11ten, with Local 1110 sous chef Marco Quiroz set to lead Sela as chef de cuisine. Poppell said the menu will include a range of smaller plates, with a few larger-format items, allowing guests to stop in for a snack and wine or build a full dinner from multiple dishes.

The bar program will be paired with a Spanish-focused wine list, and the restaurant plans to have sommeliers on staff to guide guests through lesser-known Spanish varieties.

Must-see elements will include a cured meats and charcuterie carving station positioned at one end of the horseshoe bar, designed to put guests close to the action.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting a summer 2026 opening, with Poppell noting the project is still early in the construction process.

Hours

Sela is planning to operate seven days a week, with hours still being finalized. The team is currently leaning toward a late-afternoon start, targeting roughly 4 p.m. — 10 p.m. or 4 p.m. — 11 p.m.
