TAMPA, FL — Husband-and-wife team Travis and Roxana Kaiser plan to open two distinct concepts side by side before the end of the year: Homesick Bagels and Coffee at 1528 W North B St a, Tampa, FL 33606 and GianCarlo’s at 1532 W North B St, Tampa, FL 33606. The projects will be next door to each other, but will operate independently, the Kaisers told Business Debut.

The couple also owns nearby Santoro’s Pizzeria on W Cass Street.

What to Expect

Homesick Bagels and Coffee is a counter-service shop with no seating. The menu centers on kettle-boiled bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and a lineup of nine specialty lunch sandwiches.

Next door, GianCarlo’s will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a flexible service model. Guests can order at the counter for quick pickup or be seated by a host in the dining room. The team is planning an outdoor area with bocce courts.

Homesick Bagels and Coffee

“At Homesick we’re keeping it classic—kettle-boiled bagels and simple, neighborhood-focused service,” Travis Kaiser told Business Debut. He said the concept is direct and simple, focused on authentic kettle-boiled bagels, and not trying to reinvent the wheel.

GianCarlo’s

GianCarlo’s will run an all-day program. Expect a diner-style classic breakfast, lunch will focus on deli-style hot and cold sandwiches with burgers and appetizers, and dinner will shift to a tavern-style menu with Italian specialties and pasta. An espresso bar and small market are planned inside GianCarlo’s for grab-and-go beverages and packaged items.

Kaiser said GianCarlo’s is casual but curated and still approachable. “If you walk in wearing a suit, you won’t be out of place, and if you’re in sweatpants you can still sit and enjoy your meal,” he told Business Debut. Brunch-style offerings will run daily until at least 2 p.m.

Opening Timeline

Both concepts are undergoing final inspections with a target of opening before the end of the year. Because they share inspections, the timelines are linked, the team told Business Debut.

Hours

Homesick Bagels and Coffee: seven days a week, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.
GianCarlo’s: Sunday–Thursday 7 a.m.–11 p.m.; Friday–Saturday 7 a.m.–12 a.m.
