Tampa Food Truck Getting a Brick-and-Mortar Upgrade
From food truck to café, Lanna’s brings Southern flavor and late-night dining to Tampa.

A new restaurant is on the way to Tampa from Yolanda Allen, owner of the local Lanna’s Soul Food truck. Allen told Business Debut that the new restaurant is expected to open at 3404 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610, where the space will feature two sections—a dining room with booths and tables, and a bar area with high-top seating, a pool table, dart boards, and a beer and wine bar.
The weekday schedule will run from 6 am to 3 pm, Monday through Thursday, serving breakfast and lunch classics. On weekends, the cafe will shift into late-night mode, staying open overnight from Friday into Saturday and closing again at 3 pm. Allen hopes it will become a go-to destination for late-night comfort food.
On Sundays, the focus will be on soul food served during the day.
Before operating the food truck, Allen owned Lanna’s Entree’s in Tampa, which closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, she is returning to brick-and-mortar with a vision for something bigger. The restaurant name is not yet finalized, as Allen is considering a few variations related to Lanna’s Old Southern Cafe.
The new spot is aiming to open within a month. In the meantime, follow the food truck’s updates on Facebook.
