Talkin’ Tacos Eyeing a December Opening in Davie

DAVIE, FL — Talkin’ Tacos is planning a December soft opening at 7780 Griffin Rd Suite 110/111, Davie, FL 33328, with a grand opening to follow. Chief Operating Officer Mohamad Massalkhi told Business Debut the Davie buildout is nearing final inspections.

What to Expect

The fast-casual concept serves authentic Halal Mexican street food with a late-night format. The Davie restaurant is expected to operate seven days a week and aims to stay open until 2 a.m. Seating will total about 50 to 60 between indoor and patio areas.

Each Talkin’ Tacos location incorporates local nods. “We try to make every restaurant a little unique,” Massalkhi told Business Debut. “In Davie, we added a horse-themed logo element to reflect the area and nearby schools like Nova.”

Menu and Vision

Core offerings focus on birria and other street-style tacos, along with house specialties such as birria ramen, a birria grilled cheese, and a new birria mac and cheese. Nonalcoholic drinks include specialty lemonades and horchata.

“We keep the menu fresh and exciting for our guests,” Massalkhi told Business Debut.

Market and Growth

Founded in 2020, Talkin’ Tacos has expanded from South Florida into Central and North Florida and out of state, including Texas, North Carolina, New York, Washington, and Georgia, with additional East Coast markets planned.
