Taj Indian Cuisine Opening in Statesboro with Full Bar and Fine Dining
Statesboro welcomes Taj, a new Indian restaurant offering rich flavors, a full bar, and fine dining inspired by successful locations in Aiken and Augusta.
Taj Authentic Indian Cuisine officially opened last week at 609 Brannen St #09, Statesboro, GA 30458 , bringing rich Indian flavors and a fine dining experience to the local community. Co-owner Alok Kumar Akse told Business Debut that they're officially opened as of July 17th.
The restaurant is a full-service, sit-down concept with an expansive menu. “It is a fine dining restaurant,” Akse said. “We have beer and wine. We have a lot of types of Indian beer, and we have a very large menu.”
The Taj Authentic Indian Cuisine serves lunch from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm and dinner from 5:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Wednesday through Monday, and is closed on Tuesdays. It offers various traditional Indian dishes, including butter chicken, lamb curry, shrimp masala, goat biryani, and many more. The menu also adds Indian beers, wines, and a full bar.

The opening marks the group’s third Indian restaurant. Aksi and his team began their journey in 2015 with The Curry Hut in Augusta. After years of success, they launched the first Taj in Aiken, South Carolina, and are now expanding into Statesboro, with plans to continue their growth by expanding further. “We have some future plans,” he shared.
