FORT LAUDERDALE, FL — Small’s Sliders has signed a six-unit development deal for Broward County led by Stacked Hospitality partners Joe Sloboda, Stanley Tsung, and Gustavo Bursztyn, with the first “Can” targeted for downtown Fort Lauderdale in the third quarter of 2026, Sloboda told Business Debut. He added that a second unit is planned to open about 90 days after the first.

What to Expect

The brand serves cooked-to-order cheeseburger sliders, seasoned waffle fries, and hand-spun milkshakes from its Smorange-colored shipping containers known as Cans, with a simple menu focused on quality and speed.

Broward sites under consideration include downtown Fort Lauderdale first, followed by Pembroke Pines, Davie, Hollywood, Coral Springs, and Pompano Beach.

Sloboda said the concept won him over after visiting Florida units earlier this year. “I was genuinely overwhelmed and surprised with the price point, the quality, the speed of service — the whole thing just looked fun,” he told Business Debut. “This is a slam dunk. We have to do this.”

Partners and Experience

Stacked Hospitality’s leaders — Sloboda, Tsung, and Bursztyn — bring decades of multi-unit operating experience in South Florida and abroad, and plan to be hands-on in development and operations. Sloboda operates Press & Grind coffee houses in Fort Lauderdale with partner Stanley Tsung.

“I’ve been in Broward County since 1981 and have worked all over — Hollywood, Pembroke Pines, Dania, Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park,” Sloboda told Business Debut. “For me to be able to introduce something as fun as Smalls to the different suburban areas... it's something I'm really excited about bringing.”

Opening Timeline

Targeting Q3 of 2026 for the first Fort Lauderdale Can, with a second unit planned roughly 90 days later. Site work, including potential demolition, could add three to six months to the process.
