Shapiro’s Pizzeria Opening Soon on Briarcliff Road, Atlanta
Guests can expect New York-style pizzas, spicy shrimp pies, jumbo wings, and a speakeasy-style experience.

ATLANTA, GA – Shapiro's Pizzeria is getting ready to open a brand-new restaurant at 2088 Briarcliff Road, Suite 2, Atlanta, GA, 30329, bringing authentic New York-style pizza to the city's north side. Co-owner Michael Sharp confirmed with Business Debut that they plan to open within the next 90 days after completing permits and construction.
The new Atlanta restaurant is led by Sharp, with his wife, Monalisa Sharp, and Chef Martinez. Sharp noted that the new location will provide a family-friendly dining experience along with a speakeasy-style bar. Families will enjoy pizza and wings with wine or soda during the day. In the evenings, part of the restaurant will be transformed into a speakeasy with beer, cocktails, and a semi-stage for events after hours.
Shapiro's Pizzeria will accommodate 50 people in the eating area and 60 in the speakeasy. "We want people to think that this is their place, that they come here every Friday for delicious food and a great time," Sharp stated. Once open, the restaurant will operate seven days a week from 10 a.m. – 2 a.m.
What to Expect on the Menu
Shapiro's Pizzeria's menu features classic New York-style pizzas with special twists. Among the specialty pizzas are options like jerk chicken and spicy shrimp. The menu also includes steak phillies, chicken phillies, flatbreads, salads, and appetizers like jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks.
One of the menu highlights is the jumbo crispy wings that are soaked in apple cider vinegar for an extra fresh taste. The beef and chicken cheesesteak Phillies are made with a full pound of meat in each. The emphasis lies on premium ingredients in all dishes, freshly sliced cheese, along with homemade sauces, and no prepackaged shortcuts.
A Family-Owned Concept with Deep Roots
Sharp, a longtime contractor and entrepreneur, is no stranger to building from the ground up. He moved into the food industry with his wife after working for years in the construction industry, launching their first Shapiro's Pizzeria in Conyers. Its hearty quantities, genuine tastes, and warm, family-friendly ambiance soon won a devoted following.
The hospitality-focused culture of the brand is heavily influenced by his wife, who co-manages it. The duo has developed a concept that balances originality and authenticity, bringing not only food but also a feeling of community to every table. The pizzeria also benefits largely from the experience of Chef Martinez, ensuring that Shapiro’s pizzas and wings stay true to their roots.
Stay tuned for updates on Shapiro Pizzeria’s Atlanta grand opening and their separate social media accounts that may launch before the official opening date which is anticipated to be mid-December 2025.
