POMPANO BEACH, FL — RimLay, a Thai-influenced seafood boil restaurant from owners Tammy Boonlong and her husband Dusadee “Mr. Big” Boonlong, is preparing to open after Thanksgiving at 3428 East Atlantic Blvd, Pompano Beach, FL 33069, Boonlong told Business Debut.

What to Expect

RimLay will focus on seafood boils with Cajun and New Orleans flavors combined with Thai seasonings. The restaurant will operate as a full-service, dine-in concept. Boonlong said the space will seat about 40 guests inside and 40 outside.

RimLay plans to serve beer and wine.

The core menu will center on steamed seafood boils.

She said the goal is to blend the Cajun boil format with flavors that reflect the owners’ Thai background. The name RimLay comes from Thai, which means "by the sea," Boonlong said.

Ownership Background

Tammy and Dusadee “Mr. Big” Boonlong are originally from Thailand and previously lived in the Washington, D.C., area. They opened two restaurants in the D.C. area and still operate one of them. After moving to Pompano Beach for retirement, they decided to launch another restaurant.

Opening Timeline

Boonlong said they plan to open after Thanksgiving and are targeting no later than December 1.
