Phatboy Sushi Expanding with Palm Beach Gardens Restaurant
The new location will offer sushi, noodles, hibachi skillets, and late-night cocktails.
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL — Phatboy Sushi Kitchen & Bar is targeting a mid-to-late July opening at 11701 Lake Victoria Garden Ave. #8102, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. John Maser and his sister, Nicole Maser, are behind the Palm Beach Gardens restaurant, which will mark the brand’s seventh location, John Maser told Business Debut.
What to Expect
The restaurant will offer full-service dining, a full liquor bar and a menu built around sushi, Japanese fusion dishes and hot food, Maser told Business Debut. Menu highlights will include noodles, hibachi skillets, shareable appetizers and lunch specials.
Maser said the restaurant is designed to work for families during the day and as a date night option in the evening.
“We kind of aim towards family, but also like a cool little late-night spot if you want to take your wife out for a nice date,” Maser told Business Debut.
The Palm Beach Gardens location will seat about 80 guests inside, including the bar, with about 40 seats outside on a patio, Maser told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
Menu items will include brussels sprouts with pork belly, dumplings, chicken hibachi, TNT tuna, crispy fried rice with tuna tartare, lunch bowls, poke bowls and two-roll lunch combinations, Maser told Business Debut.
The restaurant will also offer Martini Mondays with half-off lychee martinis all day, along with all-day happy hour on Tuesdays. Happy hour will include food and drinks from a designated happy hour menu, Maser told Business Debut.
Maser said the goal is to offer something for everyone.
“Our menu is very wide, and we have something for everybody,” Maser told Business Debut. “The whole family will find something they like.”
Opening Timeline
The team is targeting a mid-to-late July opening, Maser told Business Debut. The Palm Beach Gardens restaurant is the brand’s seventh location and its first new build-out from the ground up.
Maser said the family opened its first location in Fort Lauderdale and recently celebrated the brand’s 10-year anniversary.
“We just kind of did one at a time,” Maser told Business Debut. “We love what we do, and we love seeing people happy coming to our restaurants.”
Hours
Phatboy Sushi Kitchen & Bar plans to open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m., Maser told Business Debut.
