Bogey’s Tavern, a concept inspired by classic New England and Mid-Atlantic taverns, vintage golf, and speakeasy-era charm, is set to open in Largo in late summer or early fall. The project comes from husband-and-wife team Pam Dufour, who will serve as CEO, and Mike D’Ottavio, an Air Force veteran, who will serve as COO. D’Ottavio and Dufour spoke with Business Debut to share details about the new restaurant.

The tavern is undergoing a remodel at 300 E Bay Dr Suite 2B, Largo, FL 33770. The 3,700-square-foot space will seat approximately 130–140 guests, including a bar area with 26 seats, and a private dining room with 20 seats available for reservations and events.

The team is currently in the demolition phase.

The menu will highlight scratch-made dishes using fresh ingredients, drawing from New England and Mid-Atlantic culinary traditions. Offerings will include clams, mussels, both New England and Manhattan-style clam chowders, Atlantic cod baked with cherry tomatoes, garlic, parmesan, and breadcrumbs, Rhode Island-style calamari, and more. A core menu will be available alongside rotating specials, all complemented by a full-service bar.

Bogey’s will also host live acoustic music performances regularly.

The restaurant's origins date back to when Pam and Mike met for the first time nearly 20 years ago. The couple reportedly talked about their ideas to open a restaurant until 5 o’clock in the morning. Their ideas marinated until Pam discovered the available space on E Bay Drive. After meeting the landlord, they knew that it was time to spring into action. 

Bogey’s Tavern is currently planning to follow these hours, but they are still subject to change:

  • Monday: Dinner 4 pm – 10 pm
  • Tuesday–Thursday: 11 am – 10 pm
  • Friday–Saturday: 11 am – midnight
  • Sunday: Brunch only, 10 am – 4 pm
