New Wine Bar Concept Coming to New Port Richey

NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Vino and Vibes is preparing to open later this winter at 6317 Adams St, New Port Richey, FL 34652. Co-owner Carla Smith told Business Debut the team is planning a soft opening on February 27.

The wine bar is a joint project from Smith, Nancy Hegr and Troy Hegr, bringing a new light-fare and live-music concept to the downtown area.

What to Expect

Vino and Vibes is designed as a relaxed, community-focused wine bar offering table service with servers and bartenders. Seating will accommodate approximately 65 to 70 guests indoors, with additional outdoor seating planned.

The beverage program will focus on wine and craft beer, with no liquor offered. Guests can expect live music programming including jazz, piano, blues and acoustic sets, along with themed date nights and special events.

Menu and Vision

The food menu will center on tapas-style offerings and lighter fare. Planned items include charcuterie boards with cheeses and cured meats, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Seafood dishes such as ahi tuna and oysters are also expected to be part of the rotating menu.

Smith said the kitchen will introduce weekly specials and seasonal twists, allowing the menu to evolve. “We want everybody to come in and feel like family,” Smith told Business Debut. “Our goal is to offer something a little different for the community.”

Kid-friendly menu items will also be available, making the space accessible for a range of guests.

Ownership and Background

Smith and Nancy Hegr have known each other for several years, first meeting as client and stylist before becoming friends. Smith said after nearly four decades in the hair industry, she was ready for a new venture. When she shared the idea of opening a wine bar, Hegr was immediately on board.

Troy Hegr has also played a key role in bringing the concept to life, assisting with planning and development.

The team is targeting a soft opening on February 27, with a full opening to follow.

Hours

Vino and Vibes plans to operate as follows:

• Tuesday through Thursday from 3 p.m. - 10 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. - 11 p.m.
• Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.
