New in Coral Gables: Azul of Coral Gables Coming Soon

The brand from Southwest Florida is opening a location in the Miami-area.

CORAL GABLES, FL — Azul of Coral Gables, a full-service Mexican restaurant with a full liquor bar, is targeting an October opening at 127 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables, FL 33134, owner Franklin Andrade shared with Business Debut in a phone interview.

Azul of Coral Gables is his latest concept with prior locations in Cape Coral and Fort Myers. “We have Cape Coral first, then we open Fort Myers, and now we’re going to Miami,” Andrade told Business Debut.

What to Expect

Azul of Coral Gables will offer table service and a bar program built around tequila and other spirits. Andrade confirmed the restaurant will seat about 200 guests.

Andrade described the menu as extensive, drawing on dishes that perform well at the group’s existing locations. “The chicken spinach enchiladas [are] really popular over here,” Andrade told Business Debut.

He said the birria section has also developed a strong following. “All our birria menu too, birria tacos, birria burrito,” Andrade said, adding that these items have become some of the restaurant’s most ordered plates.
