Jacksonville Pizza Brand Opening on Old Bay Meadows Road Monday, Dec. 22nd

JACKSONVILLE, FL — Renna’s Pizza is preparing to open a new location in the Deerwood Village shopping plaza at 9942 Old Bay Meadows Road, Jacksonville, FL 32256, with opening day projected for Monday, December 22, owner Mike Snover told Business Debut.

The restaurant marks the brand’s fifth location in the Jacksonville area, continuing a family-run operation that dates back nearly 50 years.

What to Expect

The Deerwood Village location will offer dine-in and takeout service with indoor and outdoor seating. Guests can expect about 50 seats inside and approximately 25 seats on the patio. The restaurant follows a counter-service model.

Menu and Vision

Renna’s Pizza is known for its New York-style pizza made in a scratch kitchen, with dough, sauces, toppings, bread, and pasta prepared in-house. Pizza remains the cornerstone of the menu, alongside longtime favorites like house-made meatballs, white pizza with ricotta and mozzarella, baked eggplant Parmesan, and classic hot and cold subs.

“Our recipes go back to 1976,” Snover told Business Debut. “We still do things the way they were done when the company started.”

Snover credits the foundation of the business to his father-in-law, Joseph Renna, who opened the original Renna’s Pizza nearly five decades ago. “He’s the namesake, the original recipes, and really the ambassador of the company,” Snover said. “He’s always been the listening ear and the guiding hand.”

Community Focus

Beyond the food, Snover emphasized the company’s long-standing commitment to being part of the neighborhoods it serves. Renna’s Pizza regularly supports local schools, churches, and community events, a tradition Snover says will continue in Deerwood Village.

“Being a fabric of the community has always been important to us,” he told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

The restaurant is targeting Monday, December 22, as its first day of operation.

Renna’s Pizza will be open seven days a week.
