The popular Tampa and Lakeland area Indian restaurant Curry Leaves is moving from its current location on W Kennedy Blvd to a sprawling space in the WestShore Plaza shopping mall just behind it, co-owner Saji Mathew shared with Business Debut. We first came across the news from That's So Tampa.

The brand has been around since 2009 and currently operates a takeout and catering location in Tampa, along with a full-service restaurant in Lakeland.

The new location, as first reported by That’s So Tampa, will be at: 204 Westshore Plaza, Tampa, FL 33609 and will span close to 8,000 square feet, Mathew said.

They recently signed the lease and are aiming to open by mid or late July. Mathew doesn’t have an exact seat count yet but is planning for around 200 seats. Two separate private dining rooms will also be available—one for groups of around 50 and another for smaller gatherings of about 15.

The restaurant will offer full-service dining and include a full bar.

Curry Leaves is also planning to expand the menu for the new location. While details aren’t finalized, Mathew mentioned adding more fish and paneer options.
