LILBURN, GA – Villa Mella Restaurant is preparing to open at 411 Beaver Ruin Rd, Lilburn, GA 30047, with a focus on Dominican-style chicharróns and fried pork dishes, owner Jonny Solano told Business Debut in a recent interview.

The location previously operated as a sports bar under different names, and Solano said he purchased the business and is now converting it to a Dominican restaurant concept.

What to Expect

Villa Mella Restaurant will center on Dominican specialties with an emphasis on chicharróns, fried pork, and more. Solano said the name and concept draw inspiration from Villa Mella in the Dominican Republic, known for pork and chicharróns.

He shared that he visited La Casita Tropical in Hollywood, Florida, and saw a similar pork-focused concept operating at high volume, which encouraged him to bring a comparable idea to Lilburn.

Solano said he aims to primarily cook with pork fat and animal fats for the sake of health and flavor. He noted that interest has already appeared online, with a local TikTok video about the coming restaurant drawing tens of thousands of views.

Solano described Villa Mella Restaurant as a casual spot where guests order at the counter, then have the option to sit and dine at tables in the space.

Opening Timeline

Solano said the opening date is to be announced.

He is waiting on approvals including food service permits, a business license, and fire department inspections before setting an official opening day.
