Hadramawt Restaurant Opening In Downtown Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Hadramawt Restaurant & Catering is preparing to open a full-service Yemeni restaurant in downtown Fayetteville at 115 Rosemary St, Fayetteville, NC 28301.

Co-owner Ali T. Abdo told Business Debut the team is in the final stages of approvals after working on the project for more than a year, with plans to open within a few months.

What to Expect

Hadramawt Restaurant & Catering is planned as a full-service, dine-in restaurant focused on Middle Eastern cuisine with an emphasis on authentic Yemeni food, Abdo told Business Debut.

The team is planning to operate seven days a week. Seating capacity and final occupancy will be determined by the city, Abdo said.

Abdo told Business Debut the menu will introduce guests to authentic Yemeni dishes like haneeth, slow roasted lamb, saltah, a traditional Yemeni stew, fahsa, variation of stew with shredded lamb and much more.

He said the goal is to bring “a new experience for the community to taste a different different food.” The restaurant also plans to offer Yemeni coffee and desserts, Abdo said.

Opening Timeline

Hadramawt Restaurant & Catering is targeting an opening within a few months as final steps and approvals are completed, Abdo told Business Debut.

The restaurant plans to operate seven days a week. Specific daily hours are to be announced.

Abdo also discussed a separate concept, Blazin Halal Food, which is planning a brick-and-mortar restaurant with a drive-thru at 697 Country Club Dr, Fayetteville, NC 28301 replacing Carter Bank.

He told Business Debut the team is aiming to open that location in about six months, with plans currently under review. Blazin Halal Food is already operating a food truck in Fayetteville at 1978 Skibo Rd, Fayetteville, NC 28314, and the brand also has a location open in Wichita, Kansas, Abdo said.
