Go Greek Yogurt Expanding With New St. Petersburg Site
Guests can expect Greek yogurt bowls, frozen yogurt, salads, and a self-serve toppings bar at this fast-casual concept.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Go Greek Yogurt is planning a new location at 153 2nd Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33701, targeting a summer 2026 opening. Ownership told Business Debut the shop will be part of the Sundial redevelopment near the St. Petersburg Pier. Business Debut also spoke with franchisor Tanja Subotic, who shared additional insight into the concept and brand behind the expansion.
Business Debut learned of this story first from St. Pete Rising.
What to Expect
The fast-casual concept centers on fresh and frozen Greek yogurt with a focus on health-conscious, quick-service offerings. Guests can expect a mix of sweet and savory options, including yogurt bowls, yogurt-based salads, and a self-serve frozen yogurt bar with customizable toppings.
Ownership said the product was a primary driver behind bringing the concept to St. Petersburg, pointing to its balance of indulgence and health-conscious appeal. “You go back craving more… it is healthy as well so you don’t feel guilty, but it also does satisfy that sweet tooth,” ownership told Business Debut.
They also pointed to the Sundial location as a key factor in the decision, citing its mix of local foot traffic and tourism. Ownership told Business Debut they are “really excited to be a part of it” and view the area as a strong fit for the concept, adding that this will be their first restaurant under the brand, backed by experience in a family business within the hotel and franchise space.
Menu and Vision
Subotic told Business Debut the concept is rooted in simplicity and quality, built around a single core ingredient. “The concept is always being rooted in fresh and healthy kind of QSR food service featuring fresh and frozen Greek yogurt, premium quality,” she said.
The menu will feature ingredients sourced from Greece and across Europe, including Greek honey, olive oil, and traditional spoon sweets. These elements are paired with both sweet and savory yogurt options designed to function as a snack, dessert, or full meal.
“We have a menu that consists of fresh yogurt options and frozen yogurt options,” Subotic told Business Debut, noting that offerings range from fruit-based combinations to more savory, salad-style builds.
Ownership added that the balance of indulgent and health-forward toppings was part of the appeal when selecting the brand.
Brand Background and Leadership
Business Debut spoke with franchisor Tanja Subotic, who co-founded Go Greek Yogurt alongside her husband, David Subotic, and partner Jonathan Williams. She described the brand as a collaborative effort, with each partner leading different areas of the business from creative direction to operations and product sourcing.
“I’m the creative director… the visionary behind the brand,” Subotic told Business Debut, adding that the concept was created to address a gap in quick, health-conscious dining. “We realized very quickly that there was a lack of healthy conscious food options that were kind of quick and on the go.”
She said the idea was inspired by her time living in Greece and has grown largely through community-driven expansion. “Everything in Go Greek has been organic… relationship building, community building,” Subotic told Business Debut.
Opening Timeline
Ownership is targeting a summer 2026 opening, with a goal of July, though construction has not yet begun and the timeline may shift.
Hours
Hours are to be announced. Ownership said they expect to evaluate other locations and adjust based on foot traffic, with the potential for later evening hours.
