Full-Service Kosher Dining Expands to Boca Raton
Kosher Chobee has opened its second location in Boca Raton, expanding its globally inspired kosher menu.
BOCA RATON, FL — Chef Aviad Ballaish has officially opened the second location of Kosher Chobee at 21077 Powerline Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33433, bringing his globally inspired kosher menu to a new neighborhood. The restaurant is now operating following a soft opening period, with a grand opening held this week, Ballaish told Business Debut.
Business Debut learned of this story first from the Boca Raton Observer.
What to Expect
Kosher Chobee is a full-service restaurant designed to work equally well for a quick lunch or a more relaxed dinner experience. The space seats about 40 guests indoors with an additional 40 seats outside, and can be reconfigured for events or group dining.
“The idea was to create one fun place where people can come with the family, enjoy variety, and not get bored by a menu that feels the same every time,” Ballaish told Business Debut.
Menu and Vision
The menu pulls from Ballaish’s more than 20 years of culinary and catering experience, blending dishes inspired by cuisines from around the world. Offerings range from grilled steaks and premium cuts of meat to vegan-forward options like coconut curry.
Starters include classics such as falafel and hummus alongside items like cauliflower tempura with sweet chili soy sauce. More elaborate plates include an Italian-inspired mushroom Napoleon with Mediterranean mushrooms and sun-dried tomatoes layered over puff pastry.
“We took the things that people love most and put them all together,” Ballaish said. “Even guests who aren’t vegan end up ordering those dishes because they’re intriguing and different.”
Ownership and Partnership
This Boca Raton restaurant marks Kosher Chobee’s second location, following the original in West Palm Beach. The new outpost was opened in partnership with Eitan, who owns the neighboring Lux Bagels and is the owner of the business location. The two share a customer base and saw an opportunity to build something together for the area.
“We looked at the space and said we need to do something here for the community,” Ballaish told Business Debut. “It’s a fun concept that gives people a strong spot to celebrate and enjoy their night.”
Community Story
Ballaish said the West Palm Beach location became known for bringing together different segments of the Jewish community, from deeply religious diners to more secular locals, all sharing the same space. He described scenes where people from vastly different backgrounds would sit side by side over traditional comfort dishes.
“That atmosphere created a culture,” he said. “You’d see limousines pull up, and inside people are eating matzo ball soup together. That’s what we’re bringing to Boca.”
Opening Timeline
The restaurant is now officially open following a soft opening period.
Hours
Kosher Chobee is open Sunday through Thursday for lunch and dinner, with an official closing time of 10 p.m. Friday service runs through about 3 p.m.
