El Jalisco Bringing Authentic Mexican Flavors to Englewood
The new El Jalisco Englewood will serve favorites like fajitas, birria tacos, and mojarra frita in a 3,500-square-foot space.
ENGLEWOOD, FL – A new franchise Mexican restaurant is set to bring family-style dining and authentic flavors to the Gulf Coast. El Jalisco, led by franchise owner Erix Carranza along with managing partner Arturo, will soon open its doors at 1500 Placida Rd, Englewood, FL 34223. Carranza told Business Debut that the restaurant aims to open within the next two weeks, once final preparations are done.
El Jalisco Englewood will be a full-service restaurant with a full bar. The 3,500-square-foot space highlights 122 indoor seats for casual dining and family social occasions. Once open, the restaurant will be open from 11:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Authentic Mexican Flavors & Family-Style Experience
The El Jalisco Englewood concept will preserve traditional Mexican flavors while offering a welcoming, family-style experience. “We try to keep our traditional flavors alive,” Carranza said.
Guests can expect many of the same favorites that have made El Jalisco popular across Florida. Customer favorites include:
- Steak and chicken fajitas
- Birria tacos and quesabirria
- Quesadillas & tacos
- Mojarra frita (whloe fried fish)

Carranza noted that the menu will always include classics, and they also plan to introduce breakfast service once the restaurant is established.
A Family-Owned Concept
This Englewood location marks El Jalisco’s first in the area, joining more than 17 established locations across Florida, including Tallahassee, Pensacola, and Seminole.
Though this will be the first in Englewood, Carranza said the business remains a family-run venture, even as it expands across Florida. “We still want to keep it family-owned so we can still kind of family maintain it as a family and give it that feel,” he said.
