Duluth Will Welcome New Coffeehouse Celebrating Arab Coffee Culture

DULUTH, GA — Hayat Coffee House, a locally owned café highlighting Arab coffee culture, is planning to open in early 2025 at 2870 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Duluth, GA 30097.

Owner Muhammed Alhassan told Business Debut the team is targeting an opening between February and March.

What to Expect

Hayat Coffee House will introduce Duluth to traditional Arab-style coffee and pastries in a modern, family-friendly setting. Guests can expect late-night hours and a large 3,600-square-foot café with seating for about 100 to 120 guests, including areas designed for studying, lounging, or family gatherings.

“We’re a local, family-owned coffee shop offering an authentic Arab experience,” Alhassan told Business Debut. “This will be a place for people to come together, relax, and enjoy the culture.”

The coffeehouse will also feature a rentable conference room for meetings and community events, and plans to host World Cup watch parties for Arab teams.

Menu and Vision

The menu will highlight authentic Arab and Yemeni-style drinks such as Adeni chai, Muwaffer, Kishar, and Turkish coffee. “Once you have Turkish coffee, you don’t go back to regular coffee,” Alhassan said with a laugh.

Hayat Coffee House will also serve Arab pastries and desserts made fresh in-house, including Kanafeh, saffron milk cake, rose milk cake, and spiced chai milk cake.

Guests will find simple cold-cut sandwiches and croissants alongside the specialty sweets. “We want to showcase authentic flavors from the Arab world while also embracing Duluth’s diverse community,” Alhassan said.

Opening Timeline

The team is targeting an opening between February and early March 2025.

Hours

Open seven days a week. Planned hours are 7 a.m. — 1 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. — 2 a.m. on weekends.
