Duff’s Famous Wings to Debut in Sarasota on Clark Rd

SARASOTA, FL — Duff’s Famous Wings, a Buffalo-born wings brand, is preparing to open a franchise location at 3900 Clark Rd, Sarasota, FL 34233, area manager Tim Williams told Business Debut.

The restaurant is owned and operated by franchisee Pomegranate Capital, which also owns the Tampa Duff’s on Nebraska Avenue. The Sarasota location is in the late stages of a mostly cosmetic buildout with the opening date to be announced soon.

This will be the second Duff’s Famous Wings location in Florida.

What to Expect

Duff’s presents itself as a family-focused sports bar, designed as a place for guests of all ages to watch games, share wings and enjoy casual American fare.

Menu and Vision

Duff’s centers on buffalo-style chicken wings, using sauces and methods developed at its original location near Buffalo, New York. The brand traces its wing history back to 1968, when buffalo wings were first offered as a Friday-night special before becoming a permanent menu item in 1969.

Wings remain the focus, with Duff’s medium sauce described in-house as “hot,” and heat levels building from there. The menu also includes a smashburger, salads and regional bar staples such as pizza logs, along with other appetizers and pub-style items.

"Buffalo wings are our thing — we go through between 5,000 and 8,000 pounds of wings every week,” Williams told Business Debut.

Opening Timeline

An exact opening date is not available as of now. Issues with the existing walk in cooler have delayed the brand's debut, but keep an eye out for specific date announcements soon.
