ST. PETERSBURG – DalMoros Fresh Pasta to Go is preparing to open a new St. Petersburg location at 683 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701, relocating its fast-casual Italian pasta concept to a larger space along Central Avenue. The restaurant is expected to open around March and will operate as a counter-service concept with both indoor and outdoor seating.

The new location offers room for approximately 30 guests inside and about 20 seats outside along the sidewalk, allowing for expanded service and a more comfortable dining experience compared to the brand’s original St. Petersburg storefront.

Business Debut learned of this story first from What Now.

Background

DalMoros Fresh Pasta to Go was brought to the United States by owner David Caruso Sr. after he and his son, David Caruso Jr., discovered the concept while traveling together in Venice, Italy. The original DalMoros concept was created in Venice, and after meeting with the founder overseas, the Caruso family worked to bring the fresh-pasta-to-go model to the U.S.

The family opened their first St. Petersburg location in 2021 just a few doors down from the new Central Avenue space. The concept was designed to offer authentic Italian food without the long wait times or high price points commonly associated with traditional sit-down Italian restaurants.

DalMoros focuses on fresh pasta made in house daily. Guests can see pasta being extruded on site, and all sauces are prepared from scratch using recipes from the original Venice location.

Popular menu items include the Marmorosa, DalMoros’ version of a vodka-style sauce that blends tomato acidity with creamy richness, and a vibrant pesto made using fresh basil leaves that are hand-picked to preserve flavor.

The new location will introduce menu additions, including salads, additional sauces, and Italian panini, expanding the selection available to guests while maintaining the brand’s focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Family-Owned Operation

DalMoros Fresh Pasta to Go is a family-run business. David Caruso Sr. is the owner, with David Caruso Jr. actively involved in the operation alongside his brother, Chandler Caruso. The business also includes support from extended family members, including cousins and an uncle, making it a true family affair.

Catering

In addition to dine-in and takeout service, DalMoros offers catering for a variety of events, including birthdays and corporate gatherings. The fresh pasta concept allows the brand to serve both small and large groups with customizable options.

Hours

DalMoros Fresh Pasta to Go plans to be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant will offer late-night hours and remain open until 2:30 a.m.

Looking Ahead

DalMoros currently operates multiple locations and continues to expand, with additional openings planned. The Caruso family remains closely connected to the St. Petersburg community and hopes the new Central Avenue location will allow the brand to continue growing alongside the city.
