Crepetopia Bringing Sweets to Sarasota September 1st
Sarasota’s new sweet shop will offer fresh crepes, waffles, pastries, cakes, coffee, and handcrafted family recipes.

SARASOTA, FL — A new family-run sweet shop is getting ready to open its doors in Sarasota. Crepetopia, located at 4921 Ringwood Meadow, Sarasota, FL 34235, will officially welcome customers on September 1st, according to owner Dareen Abdel, who told Business Debut the shop is her lifelong dream.
The shop features 2,300 square feet of space, with seating for about 24 guests inside and 18 outside. Guests can enjoy a lake and golf course view, along with a boho tropical-inspired design featuring greenery and floral décor.
A Sweet Concept for Sarasota
Waffles, crepes, cakes, pastries, hot and cold coffee, and milkshakes are among the delights offered at Crepetopia. Abdel's specialty dish is the Strawberry Dubai Cup. It’s a handcrafted delicacy created with chocolate, pistachios, strawberries, and Dubai chocolate that showcases creativity and freshness. “It's gonna be a homemade. My girls and I love to make sweets, so this is our specialized item in the store,” Abdel shared.

In addition to daily delights, Crepetopia intends to accommodate private parties and specific requests; future growth of its catering services is being considered.
A Family Dream Come True
For Abdel, Crepetopia represents more than just a business; it’s the realization of a dream shared with her family. Her greatest supports, according to her, are her husband Khaled Samara, son Walid (18), and daughters Razan (23) and Tala (19).
Tala is a baker who assists Abdel with recipes, while Razan oversees the store's website and social media accounts, as well as marketing stuff.
“This is my first dream restaurant. I’ve always dreamed of opening a place like this. My husband is very supportive, but it’s really my daughters and I who love making sweets and milkshakes. It’s something we’ve always enjoyed doing as a family.” Abdel said.
Opening Timeline and Hours
The sweet shop will operate Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Abdel explained the early weekday start time is designed to serve nearby families: “There’s a daycare next to us, and parents asked if we could open early for coffee. As long as our customers are happy, we’re happy.”
