Burger Monger Bringing First Drive-Through Concept to South Pasadena
Expect burgers, Philly sandwiches, shakes, and customizable menu options at the new location.
SOUTH PASADENA, FL — Burger Monger is opening its first drive-through location at 1530 Pasadena Avenue South, South Pasadena, FL 33707, with a soft opening planned for May 12 and a grand opening scheduled for May 18.
Director of Operations Lisa Deptula told Business Debut the South Pasadena restaurant is a corporate-owned Burger Monger location led by brand owners and franchisors Akram Shinouda and Emad Hanna, with Area Director Glen Hudson helping lead the opening.
What to Expect
Burger Monger has been based in the Tampa Bay area since 2010, when the brand opened its first location in Carrollwood, Deptula told Business Debut. The South Pasadena restaurant will be the brand’s first location with a drive-through.
Guests can expect a counter-service setup with staff bringing food to the table. The location will seat about 90 guests and will have some outdoor seating, Deptula told Business Debut.
Burger Monger currently has both corporate-owned and franchise locations in the Tampa Bay area, with additional growth planned in Florida, Deptula told Business Debut. She said the company is targeting a Palm Harbor opening in June, followed by a Fort Myers location a few months later.
Menu and Vision
Burger Monger focuses on build-your-own burgers with a range of toppings, along with signature burgers, fries, hand-spun shakes, dirty sodas, Philly sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, melts, salads, Impossible Burgers and black bean patties.

Deptula said her personal favorites include the Impossible Burger, the Monger Burger and the shakes. The Monger Burger is also part of the brand’s Monday special, offered for $5.99 with lettuce, tomato and Monger sauce, Deptula told Business Debut.
“We’re just excited to be a part of the Tampa Bay area and have been here for as long as we have,” Deptula told Business Debut. “We really appreciate the support of our communities that we have here.”
Opening Timeline
The South Pasadena location is expected to open for business May 12, with a grand opening scheduled for May 18, Deptula told Business Debut.
The company is also planning additional Florida growth. Deptula said Burger Monger is targeting a Palm Harbor opening in June, followed by a Fort Myers location a few months later.
Hours
The South Pasadena location is expected to operate 11 a.m.-midnight Monday through Saturday. Sunday hours are still subject to change.
