Local favorite Bunky's Raw Bar & Grill is expanding to the mainland with a new concept: Bunky's Raw Bar & Brewery, coming soon to 6300 N Wickham Rd, Melbourne, FL 32940. Owner Colin Jones told Business Debut that the new restaurant will open between mid-August and mid-September, depending on final construction. Business Debut got the news from Florida Today.

This will be Bunky's second location, as the original location has been serving the Indialantic community for nearly five decades. Reviving the space of the former Charlie & Jake’s Brewery, one of Melbourne's first breweries, Jones shared that they will be brewing beer onsite. “We did find a brewer, and he's fantastic,” said Jones of brewer Will Brant .

The new Bunky's will include a full-service seafood restaurant and a brewery, with plans for 175 indoor seats and up to 35 outdoor patio seats, plus a future beer garden. Regular hours are planned for 11 am–11 pm daily, with late nights on weekends.

As for food, the menu will include raw bar favorites like oysters, mussels, clams, and seafood like pastas, fresh grouper, and mahi dishes. “We're simple, but just really fresh and really flavorful. So we try to stay true to that mission statement,” Jones said. About 75% of the menu will mirror the Indialantic location, with new items tailored to the Suntree community, including possible steak dishes and more upscale entrées.

Bunky's Brewery plans to launch with four distinct beers, starting with light pilsners and blondes that are perfect for pairing with seafood. Future offerings may include brown ales and even award-winning legacy brews from the original Charlie & Jake’s lineup. Beyond beer and seafood, Bunky's Raw Bar & Brewery will also host live music, featuring local performers and in-house talent, and the brewer Will Brant himself might also take the stage.

Jones and his business partner, Douglas Walker, have owned the brand since 2014 and operate under the Prodigal Hospitality Group, which also runs several other local restaurants, including Masa Taqueria Cantina and Charlie & Jake’s BBQ Beachside.
