FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Bound and Vine, a general-interest (with a slight romantacy emphasis) bookstore and wine bar is preparing to open very soon at 134 Person Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Owner Kellie Artis told Business Debut the team is finalizing pre-opening details with an author event planned for the 15th of this month.

What to Expect

The Bound and Vine selection will emphasize current releases in fiction, including literary titles, fantasy, romance, and the trending romantasy category, Artis said.

A substantial nonfiction lineup will feature social science, psychology, professional and personal development, philosophy, travel, and military-interest topics, along with works by local authors.

Artis said the store will support a robust calendar of author talks, signings, and community discussions. “We want a space where readers can convene for thoughtful conversations or simply enjoy some quiet time,” Artis told Business Debut.

The wine bar will offer a rotating selection with a monthly book-and-wine pairing that explores the story behind the featured title and the bottle. Wines will also be sold by the bottle to take home.

Canned beers, including local options, and nonalcoholic choices such as NA beers and soft drinks are planned. Coffee offerings will include cold brew or nitro cold brew.

Opening Timeline & Event

Artis said the opening is “very soon,” with permitting and final preparations underway. An event is set for November 15, 6–8 p.m., centered on the book “The Military Stories You’ve Been Told and the Ones You Need to Hear” by Jennifer Barnhill.

Sponsored by Military Families Magazine, the RSVP event is free to attend; guests may optionally purchase the book in advance to be signed during the author appearance.

Ownership and Background

Bound and Vine is co-founded by Artis and her husband, Andrew Artis. He has served in the U.S. Army for 22 years and is helping drive the history and military-interest section of the bookstore. The couple aims to invest in Fayetteville for the long-term, aiming to offer a welcoming venue for readers of all interests.
